Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

Mira exists to help you in everyday life with your child. The information you share with us is used to make Mira better – nothing else. We never sell your data, and we don't share it with third parties beyond what is required for the service to function.

What we save

  • · The child's profile: name, age, routines, favorites and patterns you share
  • · Conversations with Mira, linked to the child and the responsible caregiver
  • · Diary entries: medication, illnesses and food preferences you log
  • · Account details via Clerk (email, name)

Why we save it

All information we collect serves a purpose: so Mira can know your child and give advice that actually fits – not generic tips from the internet.

The diary lets you always go back and see what happened. Which medications were given and when. What an illness period looked like. What worked and what didn't. That information can be invaluable at BVC (child health center) visits, doctor consultations, or when a new family member is taking care of the child.

AI and your messages

Mira uses Claude (Anthropic) to respond to your messages. This means the text you write is sent to Anthropic's servers to generate a response. Anthropic processes this data according to their own privacy policy and does not use it to train their models without your consent.

Mira only responds to what you write in the chat window. Diary data is not automatically sent to the AI.

Audio analysis and microphone use

BorisBabyCare uses your device's microphone to analyse your child's sounds and help you understand your child's needs — for example whether the child is hungry, tired or needs attention.

How it works. The microphone is only activated when you actively press the analyse button in the app. The app never listens passively or in the background.

What happens to the audio. The audio is recorded briefly, sent encrypted (HTTPS) to our analysis service and processed immediately. The raw audio is never stored on your device or on our servers.

What's saved. The only thing saved is the analysis result, for example "hungry" or "tired", together with a timestamp. This information is stored in your profile and is only accessible to you and your family.

Third party. Audio is sent to Anthropic, Inc.(Claude API) solely for analysis. Anthropic is contractually prohibited from using inputs to train its models without your consent. Inputs are handled under Anthropic's 30-day retention policy and deleted thereafter.

Your rights. You can delete all your family's data via Family settings → Delete all data. For privacy reasons, deletion requires confirmation from both parents (if both are registered) followed by a 30-day cooling-off period before permanent deletion. You can also withdraw your consent to microphone use via your device's permission settings.

Legal basis. Audio processing is based on your explicit consent under Article 6.1(a) GDPR. You give this consent at registration and actively confirm it each time you press the analyse button.

Who sees what

  • · Each family member only sees their own conversations with Mira
  • · The diary (medication, illness, food) is only available to legal guardians
  • · We at Boris BabyCare have technical access to data but handle it with strict confidentiality

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

  • · Request all information we have about you and your child
  • · Correct incorrect information
  • · Delete your account and all associated data
  • · Object to the processing of your data
